Mother's Day cards

To celebrate Mother's Day this year I wanted to use my Gleeful Gardens set from Lawn Fawn (do you get the impression I'm obsessed with Lawn Fawn?!). To keep things simple, I used a couple of circle dies to make the background, coloured the images with copics and adhered them to the card using 3D foam pads.

I was going to add lots of sequins but decided not to in the end - there is sparkle on the snail shells and mushrooms but you can't see very well in the photos (must try harder to capture it next time!).

Wishing my Mum a very Happy Mother's Day - hi Mum! :o)

March haul - Lawn Fawn and Pretty Pink Posh

Yippee!! I had a couple of exciting parcels arrive in the post over the last few days. First was a package full of Lawn Fawn stamps and dies from Once Upon A Stamp which were my pre-ordered items from the latest release.

My second parcel came from Paulina who owns Pretty Pink Posh. I ordered my first selection of lovely sequins to add to my collection - they are perfect for a shaker card!

I was so excited to see the 'Baked with Love' set as I do love to bake! The KitchenAid is adorable, I'll have to colour it to match my own!

My wishes came true when I saw the 'Critters in the Jungle' set as I asked for this on the Lawn Fawn Flickr group - hurray!! The parrot is so cute :)

'Gleeful Gardens' was the third set I picked (it was very difficult not adding all of the new release to my basket!). The snails are really sweet and I love the idea of the mushrooms making a little scene - not to mention the hummingbird!

Couldn't resist the new Let's Polka Mon Amie paper set and the puffy stars/small stitched square dies too.

Can't wait to use them all soon!

Happy Birthday cards - hippo birdie!

It's been a busy month for birthdays so thought I'd use my Year Four Lawn Fawn stamps - hippo birdie to you - to create a set of three cards...

I used paper from Let's Polka from Lawn Fawn for the background with a smaller piece of vellum cut with a stitched rectangle die on top. I used copics to colour the hippo, birdie and hat plus the balloon on each card.

I think the grey card is my favourite!

Here's a little close up of the yellow version! There is a mixture of 3D foam squares on each of the die cut images so they pop up off the white stitched circle background.

Happy weekend!
